Job Overview:

The Strategic and Growth Partnerships role is a new role within our Revenue team, and is an exciting opportunity to lead Beam’s strategic engagement and partnership-building efforts. In our partnerships, we bring deep expertise in complex program administration and a commitment to ensuring security, accessibility, impact, and compliance. This role will be responsible for positioning Beam in key state and local markets, representing Beam in the most relevant networks to advance our ambitious go-to-market and market expansion goals, building strategic and growth partnerships, and securing enterprise, state-level contracts to advance our mission of building a more equitable social safety net and enhancing financial stability and social mobility for communities that need it most. This role will work closely with Partnerships/Sales, Partner Success, Marketing, and the Leadership Team to inform strategies around enterprise operations, partnership approaches, strategic relationships, and cross-functional success.



What You Will Do:

  • Lead the development and rollout of partnerships and influencing strategies for target geographies, ensuring that colleagues across Beam are informed and aware of major policy and administrative developments, and adapt strategies accordingly
  • Identify and cultivate new growth and strategic partnerships with nonprofit, government, and philanthropic institutions in alignment with Beam’s go-to-market and market expansion strategy for securing net new enterprise/state government customers
  • Exhibit leadership around Beam’s go-to-market and market expansion opportunities
  • Serve as thought leader around the social safety net, economic development, relevant policy environment(s), and competitor products and activities
  • Track key legislative and policy developments pertinent to our goals, with consideration of interplay between executive agencies and legislatures
  • Coordinate with relevant Sales/Partnership, Product, and Leadership Team stakeholders to shape top-of-funnel targets and strategies, especially for enterprise partnerships
  • Lead growth efforts related to the early operationalization of R&D initiatives, including triangulating philanthropy to seed pilot use cases



What You Should Have:

  • Experience in working with municipal, county, and/or state government and an understanding of government sales/procurement cycles, especially for SaaS technologies
  • Demonstrated experience setting and executing robust partnership and revenue targets, ideally in a government relations, policy, nonprofit, or public sector role
  • A solutions-oriented mindset with an entrepreneurial approach and a bias towards action
  • An understanding of and passion for our product and the problems it works to solve
  • A mission-driven philosophy (vs mercenary) and a champion of Beam’s mission and values



Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this position has been benchmarked in relation to the scope of the role, market rate, company stage, and internal equity. The base salary for this role will be between $110k - $130k Where a candidate falls within the band is determined by skillset, experience level, and geographic location. Furthermore, this role will come with a total compensation package that includes equity shares and competitive benefits. Some of our benefits include:
